Abstract

This paper examines the intersection of positive psychology and Islamic spirituality, highlighting how Islamic teachings complement modern approaches to human flourishing and well-being. Positive psychology emphasizes strengths such as optimism, resilience, gratitude, and meaning-making, which align closely with Islamic values like sabr (patience), shukr (gratitude), tawakkul (trust in Allah), and ihsan (excellence). Drawing on Qur’anic guidance and Prophetic traditions, the study demonstrates how Islamic spirituality not only nurtures personal growth but also fosters social harmony and collective well-being. By integrating faith-based practices such as salah, dhikr, and reflection on the Qur’an with principles of positive psychology, the paper argues for a holistic framework that addresses both the spiritual and psychological dimensions of human existence. The findings suggest that bridging these two domains provides deeper insights into achieving lasting happiness, resilience, and a sense of purpose.
