Abstract

This paper examines the influence of Qur’anic teachings on cognitive and emotional health, emphasizing their relevance in shaping positive thought patterns, emotional regulation, and overall psychological well-being. The Qur’an provides timeless guidance on cultivating patience (sabr), gratitude (shukr), hope (raja), and reliance on Allah (tawakkul), which serve as protective factors against stress, anxiety, and depression. Drawing on both Islamic scholarship and contemporary psychological insights, the study highlights how Qur’anic verses encourage constructive cognition, resilience, and emotional balance by aligning human behavior with divine wisdom. Furthermore, the integration of Qur’anic principles into therapeutic practices offers a culturally sensitive approach to counseling and psychotherapy for Muslim populations. The findings suggest that Qur’anic guidance fosters not only spiritual growth but also cognitive clarity and emotional stability, making it a valuable framework for mental health promotion in modern contexts.
